iP.O.P

Has someone ever sent you a message that encapsulated your very thoughts at that time? Well a friend of mine just did. This is what he wrote...

To what purpose is evil?, to what gain is this hate?
How could thoughts be so lethal?, to what end is this fate?
Has life lost it's value?, is this the end of our universe?
Has blood become worthless?,is living now in reverse?
There's nowhere to run,  no place to hide
Everyone is exposed in this maze so wide                          Tugs from left and right, pressures on every  side
Can't we all just evade this Boisterous tide?

Uncertainty looms as we walk through the door
Too many Count of losses, we can't take this no more
Look where we are, look what we've become A show of shame..a fate to which we succumb

We live in a country where no one is safe
Where one's desire, is another one's chafe
The night is filled with screams of Violence
While the morning awakes with immortal silence
Defenseless people bombed, a crime heinously conducted
Emotions run deep over hundreds of  girls abducted
Daily the evil extends, the carnage transcends
While our leaders only condemn, But no one contends
To what end is this fate?, everyone wonders
Days go bye and yet the innocent Suffers

The reality of the unknown, still lays wide open like a field
No one knows the fate of that which is next to be revealed
Each day unfolds, with the fear of what to Behold
With the choice of being afraid or the dare to be Bold
Could this be the way our  world is Designed?
Is this the path that we all must be Aligned?

This was never how It was meant to be
For we all in God's eyes were created to be equal and free
Free to show love, kindness, not with pretension but straight from the heart
But instead we've chosen to misunderstand religion just to tear us apart
In times like this, I can only hope and pray
hoping for the best with each new day
I Pray for peace, peace in our hearts and in our soul
I pray for Nigeria to be at ease and be free from the grip of terror 's control
I Pray for the Government and all the people in authority
Let's do what is right for us all to live in peace and unity
Though now we cry all day and weep all Night
Let our hearts be filled with joy when it's time for Sunlight

I Pray for the Nigerian people, yes the Nigerian people
With no reference to religion or ethnicity but Just cos we're equal
I pray that Christians and Muslims remember that we're first human beings
And learn to live together in peace like real people with feelings
I Pray for all people of the world to live a life of love
Let's learn to live together ,Let heaven smile from above
I pray that we love each other like ourselves
For that's when we can only live a true life of success
I pray for the victims of terror in Nigeria and the world over
May the souls of the departed find peace and let the living remain sober
I pray for an end to these senseless killings and bloodshed
Let this path of evil end, let this monster be dead
I pray for the Chibok girls abducted from where they dwell
going through difficult times that's even had to tell
I pray they return to their parents alive and well
let's remain hopeful, everything will be well

This Is my prayer, I PRAY FOR PEACE............
#BringBackOurGirls

#THE PREACHER.......

I'm praying on purpose. You Know you want to join me...
#SAYAPRAYER

for Nigeria, Kenya, Africa as a whole and every other part of the world in need of God's intervention

Truelove!

I saw this post by Joyce Meyer Ministries and felt I should share...

God is not the least bit surprised or shocked by you or your behavior. He's not put off. He knew everything about you when He invited you to come into relationship with Him, and He's committed to work with you through the whole process, if you just won't give up. (Psalm 139)

The Laptop Incident (Part 2)

Ewoo! I was too numb to react or think clearly. I practically ran inside my room, dropped all the stuff I was carrying on the floor, changed to comfy shoes, carried my wallet and ran out. Until that day I had never ran and prayed at the same time in my life. I kept begging God to have mercy and deliver my eyes from tears. The worst part of the situation was that I couldn’t remember where I had left it. I called a friend who was still in class to help me check if I had left it there and her reply was in the negative. As I ran, different thoughts scrambled through my mind but the most prevalent was "how was I going to explain my carelessness to my father?” I started doing a mental calculation of all my estates (clothes/shoes/bags) and bank accounts and what it would take me to buy a new system in the worst-case scenario.
Since it wasn’t in class it had to be in the cafeteria or in the ‘free’ ride I had taken. I couldn’t stomach the possibility of my beautifully new in the car of someone I had no concrete information about, so I ran to the cafeteria hoping for the best.
As I got nearer to the cafeteria building, I began looking at every one that suspiciously. It’s funny how all the male species I passed by looked like my laptop’s abductor. (Yeah I know females steal too but in that frame of mind I wouldn’t have credited my own sex with such betrayal). There was even a young gentleman with a big black bag that I had to steel myself from walking up to and demanding rights to search his bag.
By the time I got to the counter, I was heaving heavily. Some students were buying meal tickets so I waited patiently for them. I couldn’t risk someone overhearing my inquisition out of sheer embarrassment. With my heart in my mouth I mustered all the courage I had left and asked the lady if she had seen a grey laptop in a matching grey laptop case. When the lady didn’t reply immediately but instead proceeded to call her friend, it suddenly dawned on me that I might have lost it forever.
The ladies asked me some questions pertaining to my pc’s identity and features. Then the first one smiled and said I was very lucky after which she proceeded to berate me stating how I must have plenty laptops to throw away. The second lady said I should go and buy them drinks. It’s funny how if they had asked me to buy them the whole cafeteria I would have (although that would have been subjected to the money in my possession). I collected my laptop and in that moment my world was made right again. God had indeed delivered my eyes from tears.

“Glorify the Lord with me,
And let us praise his name together.
I asked the Lord for help and he answered me.
He saved me from all that I feared.
Those who go to him are happy,
And they are never disgraced.
This poor man (referring to me) called, and the Lord
Heard him and saved him from all his troubles.”
Psalm 34:3-6 (NCV)

Nigeria today; In God we trust

A lot has happened in Nigeria over the past few weeks; from Boko haram to fuel subsidy removal with its resultant strike and protests but in all these God has remained faithful. He is truly Nigeria’s ever-present help in times of trouble.

So the protest against the subsidy removal has been tagged #Occupy Nigeria
Trust Nigerians to find something to laugh about amidst all the recent happenings. So here are some pictures of how some people have decided to occupy Nigeria.
The road side living room
Did you notice the guy on the toilet bowl reading a newspaper?
So bikes are officially the 'rides' to struggle for ;)
The ladies are not left out too!
This is my best! Did you notice how serious he looks?

The LORD will bless his people with peace Ps.29:11

uncertainty and certainty

"I believe in the sun when it's not shining,
I believe in love when I don't feel it,
I believe in God when He is silent" (author unknown)

Right now, I'm confused. I really need God's direction but it seems like he is silent or maybe I'm just impatient to really wait and listen to His voice.
I'm at a crossroad in my life. After grads what next? My parents love me and want me to stay back in school and do my masters but I'm not so sure about that.
I love my course or let me rephrase that, I love some parts of my course but I'm not sure I'll enjoy doing that everyday of my life. I'm tired of weighing the pros and cons of doing my masters.
I'm tired of talking to people about it. I want to hear God clearly. The other day while talking to one of my course mates, he shared some experiences in his life with me then he advised me not to do it since I know I won't enjoy doing it in long run and that I'll just be wasting time, instead I should find God's purpose for my life and run with it.
My aunt is of the opinion that opinion that no knowledge is wasted and that while doing my masters in my course, I'll learn things that will help me in whatever future career I choose.
My mom says I should stay back and do my masters since I've already started and I haven't presented a better alternative.
I don't want tell my dad yet until I'm sure of what I want to do. So here I am, uncertain of what step to take next but certain that God will be with me every step of the way.

Yours sincerely,
Cee
